Clear, deep scarlet with purple hints. Good strong legs.
Nose
Somewhat closed. Opens slowly to reveal red fruit (redcurrants, red plum) with a hint of vanilla sweetness.
Palate
Dominated by ripe, spicy fruit (currants, plums with a hint of strawberry). Spice notes suggest cinnamon, vanilla. Good full mouth feel. Some tannins, some acid, but no real length.
Overall
Pleasant, satisfying and well-balanced easy drinking wine. Lacks the structure and finish to compete with serious steak but a solid choice.
